[Heavy panting is the only thing he can do for a few moments. It gives Karen a moment to get her own break and pull away. Frank sighs and his body is slack against the bedding.]

Yes, Ma'am.

[Breathless and very amused. He brings up her hand with his and sits up enough to give a peck to her knuckles.]

[ She gives a winded laugh of her own at the words and kiss. She doesn't let go of his hand as she flops down on her side beside him. She presses along the side of his body and slings her arm around his middle. ]

Least I could do after what you did for me.

[ Both of them deserve to get off more than once. ]

I'm more than happy to go along for the ride.

[Literally. Frank turns into her and they're side by side, face to face again. He kisses her face and brings the blanket around them both once more.]

Is it okay if I stay a bit longer? Maybe until your roommates turn in?

[Though hell if he knows what time it is.]

[ She laughs again and the song ends with some other one starting. She doesn't really pay attention to it, too busy looking at him as he turns to face her. The kiss and gesture are sweet and she just gives him a squeeze with her arm, pulling him closer. ]

Sure. I don't mind.

[ A part of her is already sad, knowing he's going to leave. ]

[The stillness after, the way she feels close to him is so lulling. What would he have done if she said leave now? Well, leave naturally. But that would not have matched with how well things have been going. Frank grins and tilts up Karen's chin to kiss her mouth. Slow, sweet.]

[ She doesn't expect the extra kiss but she returns it just as slow and sweet, breaking it off with a grin. ]

You better stop now or we'll end up doing a round three.

[A smile of his own breaks his concentration.]

...that wasn't what I was going for. Honest. You're just really kissable. I'm sure someone must have told you so.

[ She shakes her head some, ]

Nope. They've said I'm a good kisser. Got pretty lips. Never "really kissable".

You know, some people are gifted with pretty lips. That doesn't make a great kisser or that those same lips are kissable. It's talent.

[And for all his talk about them, he just sits back. Not kissing her.]

[ She tries to smother a laugh, shoulders shaking but it's obvious in her voice, ]

You should put that on a Hallmark card.

Maybe that'll be my income. After I serve.

[Fingers stroke idly up and down her arm. He laughs at the idea.]

Never know.

[ She gives a soft laugh at that, closing her eyes, ]

It's a rough business anyway. I dunno if I got what it takes when I don't have much talent alone to carry me.

[Frank's own little laugh subsides in a sigh as he leans his head against Karen's. There's muffled talking through the walls.]

[ Karen's eyes stay closed as he talks, humming some kind of response. She's slipping further back into sleep, too tired to say anything else.

And then she's out, the last thing registering in her mind is how warm he was pressed against her. ]

[They settle into silence. And it's so peaceful, the sound through the walls is dull and distant. Eventually there's nothing but silence. Frank feels the pull of sleep on him. Though he can't rightly say that he was invited to stay that was too much. Sighing he sits up and tucks the blankets around her. Just for now while he starts to look for his clothes. It's tricky work in a dark room. He manages and tries to be as lightfooted as possible.

Once dressed he leans on in close.]

Karen? Babe, I'm gonna go.

[Speaking low in case there's a chance that the roommates might hear.]

[ She's long gone by the time Frank gets up, just curling under the blankets and letting out a sigh through her nose. She's tired and content from their night together.

Though, when Frank walks out of her room, he'll end up running into one of her roommates getting a bottle of water in the kitchen. Misty doesn't even look before she starts saying, ]

Girl, that music man had you singin' tonight. He must've been damn goo--

[ But then stops and freezes the moment she sees that she is no, in fact, talking to Karen. ]

[Slowly pulls away. Best not wake her. She's out like a light. More than that, she might have classes tomorrow. Who knows. Frank slowly steps out and shuts the door. Just when he thinks he's in the clear he freezes like a deer in the headlights.]

...Hi.

[Throat clear but he's not scared or anything.]

[ Misty stares at him, jaw dropping and then looking away because he's not exactly dressed. ]

I am... so embarrassed. And sorry. Oh my god.

[ She's both mortified and trying not to laugh because wow. ]

[At least his pants are up. Mostly. Shirt is slung over his shoulder.]

Sorry.

[AHEM. Give him a second to zip up.]

Frank. Nice to meet you.

[ Misty covers her face with both hands for a minute before laughing. Hands go down to her hips and she shakes her head. Karen is gonna get some stern words in the morning. Or maybe just a ton of teasing. Yeah, that sounds more fun. ]

Misty. Wanna put your shirt on, Frank?

[ A beat, smirking at him. ]

Want some water?

[Running would be easy. Staying and taking his hits and perhaps, just perhaps getting in good with the roommates is worth the risk. After all, Karen's going to have to deal with it. Only fair he gets his share.]

Yes, ma'am.

[Gives him something to do.]

Please.

[He follows her into the kitchen. Noting where the sink is he first washes his hands. See? Gentleman.]

[ She appreciates him washing his hands before handling the bottle she gives him, at least. Even if it's a plastic one he can take with him, it shows he's being considerate. More than most guys. ]

So, Frank... Did you two have fun tonight? Aside from your... latter activities?

[It's the polite and decent thing to do! He tips his head gratefully and unscrews the cap of the water bottle.]

Yes. We had a discussion about feminism and literature over pasta.

[A hearty gulp before he continues.]

I didn't mean for it to get so late or break any house rules for you ladies.

[ Misty can't help but grin at that first part, shaking her head. ]

You must've passed that conversation with flying colors to be invited back here.

[ Sorry, Karen. They how high your standards are. She waves off the rest, ]

It's fine. I'm just giving you a hard time just 'cuz I can. I'm sure I've done the same thing to her more than a few times.

[He'll take this at face value. Misty is her roommate and knows Karen better than he does. Hard to dampen the smile of satisfactory spreading over his face.]

Just being myself, ma'am.... Misty. Sorry. Kinda trying to get more in the habit. Manners are a big thing in the Corps.
